Meaning of the Bhogi Festival 2024

How is Bhogi celebrated?
On the day of Bhogi Pandigai, people get up early to start a bonfire with wood and other solid fuels, also known as Bhogi Mantalu among the locals.

The plums transform into costa bonfires on that day.
The bonfire festival where everyone congregates is far from some of the villages.
This festival is not observed in many of the state’s villages in the Vijayanagar District.
